Descrizione del dritto	Printed in black, deep olive-green and deep blue-green on a multicolour underprint, the obverse carries the bank arms with a mounted horseman vignette at top centre. To the right, a detailed architectural vignette renders the Great Mosque of Herat (Masjid-i Jami'-i Herat), a Ghurid-founded Friday mosque whose present tiled facade dates largely from the late fifteenth century. Denomination and issuer inscriptions appear in Dari script.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse is dominated by a large vignette of the celebrated decorative arch of Qala-e-Bost, the eleventh-century triumphal arch forming part of the remains of a mosque within the ancient fortress complex near the confluence of the Helmand and Arghandab Rivers, south of Lashkargah. Denomination numerals and issuer text are set against a multicolour guilloche underprint.
