| Obverse description | Printed in black, deep olive-green and deep blue-green on a multicolour underprint, the obverse carries the bank arms with a mounted horseman vignette at top centre. To the right, a detailed architectural vignette renders the Great Mosque of Herat (Masjid-i Jami'-i Herat), a Ghurid-founded Friday mosque whose present tiled facade dates largely from the late fifteenth century. Denomination and issuer inscriptions appear in Dari script. |
