The denomination 'ZEHN MILLIONEN MARK' is set in large Gothic blackletter type at the centre of the vignette, above a three-line text block in smaller script stating the issuing authority, place, and date of issue (Düsseldorf, den 1. September 1923), followed by the legend 'Landesbank der Rheinprovinz General-Direktion' and a manuscript signature. The inscription 'LANDESBANK DER RHEINPROVINZ' repeats in large red letterpress along the top and bottom margins, flanked by symmetrical diamond-shaped ornamental devices at left and right. |
