| Description de l’avers | The face is printed in dark violet-black on a pale lilac-tinted paper, with the left margin occupied by a bold vertical side-strip carrying the denomination '10 000 000 MARK' rotated 90 degrees. The central field is enclosed within an elaborate engraved guilloche border with ornamental rosette cornerpieces, and bears the denomination 'Zehn Millionen Mark' in large Gothic blackletter script at the top, followed by a serial number line, and a multi-line letterpress text body declaring acceptability at all public treasuries of the Regierungsbezirk Trier and the Province of Birkenfeld, dated 'TRIER, den 14. August 1923', with the issuing committee's manuscript signatures at the lower right. |

The central panel is enclosed by a fine engraved rectangular border and displays a lightly printed wavy-line guilloche underprint over which the denomination text 'Zehn Millionen Mark' appears in pale violet script above the large numeral '-10 000 000-' in bold letterpress, with '-Mark-' below; the printer's imprint 'SCHAAR & DATHE A.G. TRIER.' appears in small type at the foot of the design. |
