| Reverse description | The reverse is unprinted, consisting of plain buff paper entirely devoid of vignette, text, or ornamental elements, consistent with the expedient production methods characteristic of German hyperinflationary Notgeld issues of 1923. A handwritten ink notation appears diagonally across the centre, attributable to a later collector or administrative hand. |

One of dozens of emergency transport authority issues printed during the hyperinflation peak of autumn 1923, this note was issued by the Bavarian branch of the Reich Transport Ministry specifically for use within the Reichsbahn network in Bavaria — wages, operational payments, and staff expenses could not wait for Berlin to supply currency fast enough. The denomination, ten billion Mark, was already inadequate within days of printing; the Rentenmark stabilization came in November 1923, rendering the entire series worthless almost immediately after issue.
Munich-printed transport notgeld of this period often shows uneven ink distribution due to the speed of production. Genuine circulation examples are rarer than collector-held specimens.
