To the right, an oval vignette contains an engraved portrait of a medieval Polish king wearing a crown, rendered in fine intaglio lines. The left portion of the note bears a vertical decorative element with the Polish eagle within an oval cartouche, framed by elaborate guilloche borders; numeral 1 appears at the top and bottom margins. |
