| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse features the left-facing bust of Yuan Shikai in military uniform, occupying the central field in the style characteristic of the so-called 'Fat Man dollar' type. A circular Chinese legend arcs around the upper periphery reading 'Year 3 of the Republic of China' (中華民國三年), with the character 三 (three) prominently positioned to the lower left of the effigy. A rectangular countermark bearing the characters 蘇維埃 (Soviet) has been applied to the right field, distinguishing this piece as an officially sanctioned issue of the Szechuan-Shensi Soviet authority. The coin's surface shows the denticulated border characteristic of milled coinage of the period. The overall design retains the host coin's engraving by Luigi Giorgi, with the countermark applied as an authorizing overstrike. |
