Obverse description Oval portrait vignette at left centre presents the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi) in traditional imperial regalia, framed by intricate guilloche borders. A second oval vignette at right contains a train passing before a hillside village. Large Chinese character 壹圓 (One Yuan) occupies the central field, with red seal impressions and the denomination in Chinese script repeated in side panels.
