| 备注 |
The Bank of Kuantung (廣東銀行) was one of several provincial institutions attempting to maintain financial credibility in South China during the final, chaotic phase of the civil war. By 1948, Nationalist currency was collapsing under hyperinflation, and regional banks issuing yuan-denominated notes were operating in an environment where the value of any given note could halve within weeks of printing.
The S-prefix in the Pick reference places this firmly in the Chinese "Specialized Issues" category — provincial, local, or otherwise outside the central government banking structure. Documentation on surviving print runs is incomplete, and attribution of specific printings to particular facilities remains contested among specialists.
