Obverse description	Black intaglio on light blue and peach underprint with paulownia flower guilloche. Central vignette of Takeuchi no Sukune in an oval frame, the legendary court elder rendered with fine portrait engraving. The denomination 壹圓 appears in large characters to the right, with the Bank of Japan title 日本銀行券 across the upper field; two red circular seals flank the portrait at lower left and right, and the imprint of the Japanese Imperial Government Printing Bureau runs along the bottom margin. A chrysanthemum imperial crest appears at top center within an ornate foliate border.

Reverse description	Brown on lilac underprint. A central cartouche with scalloped border encloses a vignette of the prayer hall (haiden) of Ube Jinja shrine set among trees, with the Bank of Japan title 日本銀行券 inscribed above the scene. The denomination characters 壹 and 圓 appear in guilloche panels to the upper left and right respectively, flanked by cloud and scroll ornaments. The overall composition is rendered in a single reddish-brown tone against a pale ground.
