Beschrijving voorzijde The national coat of arms of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea occupies the central field, depicting a hydroelectric dam and power lines set against Mount Paektu, all surmounted by a five-pointed star emitting rays and flanked by sheaves of rice bound at the base with a ribbon inscribed with the state name in Hangul. A circular legend in Hangul reading '조선민주주의인민공화국중앙은행' (Central Bank of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) surrounds the device along the upper periphery.
