| Description de l’avers | Enthroned facing bust of Saint Peter, patron of Trier, depicted frontally in ecclesiastical vestments beneath a Gothic canopy surmounted by three heraldic shields — the arms of Trier at center flanked by the arms of the Falkenstein family on either side. The saint raises his right hand in blessing and holds a patriarchal cross-staff in his left, with the towers of the cathedral visible to either side. The figure is rendered in the flat, linear Gothic style characteristic of Rhenish hammered coinage of the early fifteenth century. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the archbishop's name legend running in Gothic lettering around the outer border. |

The shield is boldly struck in high relief against a flat field. A beaded inner circle encloses the device, with the mint legend running continuously in Gothic script around the outer border, identifying this as a new coinage of Cochem (Govenen). |
