The saint raises his right hand in blessing and holds a patriarchal cross-staff in his left, with the towers of the cathedral visible to either side. The figure is rendered in the flat, linear Gothic style characteristic of Rhenish hammered coinage of the early fifteenth century. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the archbishop's name legend running in Gothic lettering around the outer border. |
