| 背面描述 | The reverse is entirely plain, presenting a flat, featureless field surrounding the central square hole. No inscriptions, symbols, or decorative elements are present. The surface exhibits an even brown patina with traces of green cuprite consistent with aged cast copper. |

The Sử Thiên Thánh rebellion emerged from the chronic instability of late Trần dynasty Vietnam, a period when regional warlords and disaffected officials repeatedly challenged central authority by the most direct means available — minting their own currency. Issuing coin was a declaration of legitimacy, not merely an economic act. This piece, cast in seal script rather than the running script more common to Vietnamese rebel coinages, suggests a deliberate archaism, possibly intended to invoke Chinese imperial precedent and lend the uprising administrative credibility it could not otherwise claim.
The rebellion's lifespan of roughly two years makes surviving examples genuinely scarce. Toda catalogued it at #28.
