Obverse description The entire field is occupied by a bold, deeply struck Persian calligraphic legend in three sweeping lines executed in the nasta'liq script, reading 'Al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar.' The strokes are rendered in high relief with confident, flowing curves characteristic of Qajar royal die-cutting, with small pellet ornaments decorating the spaces between letterforms. No figural imagery appears; the composition is purely epigraphic, filling the irregular flan to its edges. The field surface shows the characteristic texture of hand-struck gold coinage of the early Qajar period.
