| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian-Arabic mint and date legend in Nasta'liq calligraphy, enclosed within a double linear circle forming a distinct inner border. The central inscription reads 'Zarb Balda Tayyiba Hamadan' (struck in the blessed city of Hamadan), with the AH date 1240 prominently placed in the lower portion of the field. Pellet ornaments are scattered throughout the field, consistent with the decorative conventions of Qajar hammered gold coinage. The legend is deeply impressed in high relief against a flat field, with the enclosing border clearly visible separating the inner legend from the broad outer margin of the flan. The overall composition is typical of Type W Fath Ali Shah tumans struck at the Hamadan mint. |
