| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Nastaliq calligraphy reading the royal titulature of Fath Ali Shah Qajar, rendered across three registers against a finely stippled background embellished with arabesque floral scrollwork. The inscription, proclaiming the shah as 'Sultan son of Sultan, Fath Ali Shah Qajar', is executed in high relief with characteristic Qajar decorative exuberance. The legends fill the entire flan, leaving no plain field, with the coin's irregular hammered edge typical of early nineteenth-century Iranian minting practice. |
