| Reverse description | A tall patriarchal cross with two horizontal bars rises from a stepped or pointed base at center, flanked on either side by a lion passant regardant, the animals facing away from the cross with heads turned back toward it. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Armenian devotional legend distributed around the outer field. The composition reflects the heraldic style typical of Cilician Armenian silver trams of the late 12th to early 13th century. |
