| Obverse description | Bust of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar facing slightly right, wearing the traditional Qajar lambskin Kolah crown adorned with a floral jewelled ornament, dressed in a heavily decorated military uniform with epaulettes and gem-set clasps. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail. A Persian legend curves along the right field reading the mint and regnal year AH 1316, and the accession year AH 1314, with the royal title inscription arching to the left. The coin is bordered by a finely executed beaded inner ring. |
