The circular legend БҮГД НАЙРАМДАХ МОНГОЛ АРД УЛС arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while the denomination НЭГ ТӨГРӨГ is inscribed in bold Cyrillic letters across the lower field.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Issued to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Mongolian People's Revolution of 1921, which brought Soviet-backed forces under Damdin Sükhbaatar to power and established what became the Mongolian People's Republic — the world's second communist state after Soviet Russia. The anniversary series of which this coin is part was Mongolia's first significant foray into commemorative coinage.
