| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic legend in raised relief within a plain inner circle, giving the mint name and Hijri date. The intermediate zone is defined by a beaded or cable inner ring, while the broad outer border is decorated with an elaborate scrolling vine and pellet motif consistent with Khoqand-style gold coinage. The overall die style and flan preparation identify this piece as a Sinkiang imitation of the Khoqand tilla, struck in AH 1289 (AD 1872). |
