| Reverse description | Saint Rupert, patron saint of Salzburg, is depicted seated facing on clouds at centre, vested in full episcopal regalia including mitre and cope, holding a crozier in his left hand and raising his right hand in blessing. He is accompanied by two putti at lower right, one of whom holds a barrel — a traditional attribute of the saint — while a winged cherub hovers beside them. The date 1745 appears in the upper field. The circular Latin legend naming the saint and his see runs around the periphery within a milled border. |
