The shield displays multiple heraldic quarterings including the two passant lions of Brunswick, the lion rampant of Lüneburg, the running horse of Westphalia, and further charges associated with the dynasty's territories, with an inescutcheon at center. The mint master's initials HCB are placed to the lower left and right of the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading GEORG LUD D G D BR & L S R I ARCHITHES & EL, with the date 1713 incorporated into the legend at the top. |

| Description du revers | Standing three-quarter figure of Saint Andrew, the patron saint of the Harz mining region, depicted facing slightly left with a nimbus (halo) behind his head. The saint is draped in flowing robes and leans against the large X-shaped saltire cross (crux decussata) of his martyrdom, which rises prominently behind him. His right hand is extended outward in a gesture of welcome or blessing. The design references the Ausbeute (mining yield) coinage tradition of the Harz region. The circular Latin legend SANCTVS ANDREAS REVIVISCENS — meaning 'Saint Andrew Reviving' — surrounds the figure, punctuated by small star ornaments. |
