Additional information

Glatz — today Kłodzko in southwestern Poland — was a County of Bohemia, and its coinage rights were exercised only sporadically by its ecclesiastical administrators. Ernest of Bavaria held the County of Glatz as part of his broader territorial holdings within the Bohemian Crown lands, and thalers struck under his authority are among the rarest products of this mint. Friedensburg 2825 is a well-documented rarity, with surviving examples numbering in the single digits across major collections.
