| Obverse description | Black letterpress on plain paper. The princely coat of arms of Reuss-Greiz, supported by two lions, occupies the center, flanked by foliate scroll borders with the denomination numeral '1' in each corner. The title legend 'FÜRSTL. REUSS. A. L. CASSEN-SCHEIN' runs along the top, with the denomination 'Ein Thaler Courant' in large Gothic script below the arms. The lower portion carries the authorizing law text dated 15 Mai 1858, folio number at left, serial number at right, and four manuscript signatures above the penalty clause. |
