| Reverse description | A detailed panoramic cityscape of Münster occupies the central field, depicting the city's skyline with multiple church towers, fortifications, and rooftops rendered in high relief. Above the cityscape, within clouds, appears a half-length figure of Saint Paul, patron of Münster, holding a sword and book. In the lower exergue, a three-line inscription records the occasion of Westphalia's return to obedience. A lengthy Latin legend in two lines circles the entire coin along the rim, naming the bishop-prince and the year MDCLXI. |
