| Obverse description | Central device depicts a double-headed eagle displayed, each head facing outward, surmounted by a single imperial crown above the junction of the necks; the eagle rises from a stylized rocky or grassy ground, with wings spread and talons visible. A curved scroll or ribbon bearing the legend PRAESIDIA PRINCIPIS arches across the upper field of the coin interior.
