Above the shield, two crossed processional staves surmount a small escutcheon topped by an electoral bonnet. The entire composition is executed in a rich high-relief Renaissance style characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century German thaler coinage. A circular Latin legend reading MONETA NOV ARGEN TVICI runs around the periphery within a beaded border. |
