| Descrizione del dritto | Central papal coat of arms displayed on an ornate shield, divided quarterly and featuring a crosslet and diagonal banding, encircled by a beaded border and flanked by elaborate foliate and floral branches. Above the shield, the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter serve as heraldic supporters. The encircling legend reads PIVS VII PON·M·AN·III, identifying the pontiff as Pius VII in his third regnal year. The overall composition reflects the refined neoclassical engraving style characteristic of early nineteenth-century Papal mint production. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Two standing figures face each other in the field: at left, Saint Peter robed and holding a large key in his raised right hand, identified by the legend S·PETRVS to his left; at right, Saint Paul in classical drapery and holding a sword, identified by the legend S·PAVLVS to his right. Above the two figures, a radiant dove descends with outstretched wings, symbolising the Holy Spirit. In the exergue, the engraver's initials G·H appear above the date 18·03, flanked by a small papal arms escutcheon. The reverse exemplifies the dignified figurative style typical of Papal coinage of the Pius VII period. |
