The legend reads the kalima or profession of faith combined with the ruler's titles, arranged in four or five lines within the coin's circular border. The die-struck lettering is raised in high relief against a flat field, characteristic of hammered Bengal Sultanate silver coinage. A plain beaded or rope-pattern border encircles the inscription. The coin exhibits the slightly irregular flan typical of hand-struck issues of this period. |
