Obverse description Hammered silver tanka with multi-line Arabic legend in cursive Naskh script occupying the central field within a foliated circle. The inner legend reads the honorific titles of the Abbasid Caliph: 'yamin khalifat allah nasir amir al-mu'minin ghawth al-islam wa'l muslimin khuld khilafatahu,' asserting the sultan's legitimacy through caliphal sanction. The marginal legend surrounding the foliated circle contains the mint name (Firuzabad Baldat) and the regnal year, though both are partially off-flan on this specimen. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, typical of hand-struck Bengal Sultanate coinage of this period.
