Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in calligraphic script, reading the full royal titulature of the sultan: 'Rukn al-Dunya wa'l-Din Abu'l-Muzaffar Barbak Shah al-Sultan bin Mahmud Shah al-Sultan.' The legend is arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, typical of Bengal Sultanate hammered silver coinage, with the text occupying the majority of the coin's face within a plain or beaded border.
