Reverse description Hammered silver field displaying a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold raised relief, occupying the full extent of the coin face. The legend records the ruler's name and titles, reading in the style typical of Bengal Sultanate issues: 'Ala al-Din Husain Shah, Sultan of Bengal' distributed across several lines. The calligraphy is executed in a vigorous, somewhat angular hand consistent with late medieval Bengal mint practice. The field is undecorated save for the inscription, and the irregular flan boundary is evident at the periphery. Strike is somewhat uneven, as is characteristic of hammered issues of this series.
