| Opis awersu | Central square cartouche enclosing the Tibetan date numerals in two lines, flanked at each corner by a raised dot; the cartouche is surrounded by four large bold swirl or triskelion scroll motifs occupying the quadrants of the field, with smaller scroll elements filling the interstices, all executed in high relief. The entire composition is contained within a plain inner border, itself enclosed by a beaded outer circle that runs close to the rim. The overall design has a strong, symmetrical character typical of Kong-par mint coinage of the late eighteenth century. |
