The FAO coinage program funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization produced issues across dozens of developing nations from the 1960s onward, with Bangladesh participating through several denominations. These were not commemoratives in any collector sense — they were intended as working circulation pieces carrying an agricultural message, and most saw genuine use in the Bangladeshi economy through the late 1990s.
