正面描述	Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria, laureate and wearing a wreath of leaves with her hair gathered in a chignon secured by a ribbon. The effigy is set within a distinctive decorative border of Greek key (meander) pattern, itself enclosed by a beaded inner circle and a finely reeded outer rim. The legend VICTORIA arcs above and QUEEN below, divided by the Greek key border, all rendered in raised Latin capitals.

背面描述	Four large Chinese characters arranged in a quadrant within a beaded inner circle, reading 紋銀壹兩 (One Silver Tael), with the word TRIAL stamped in small incuse letters across the centre of the design. The circular legend ONE TAEL . HONG KONG arcs around the upper field in Latin capitals, flanked by small six-pointed stars at the lower sides. The date 1867 appears in the exergue below the beaded circle, also flanked by stars, all enclosed within the same Greek key decorative border as the obverse.
