Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria, laureate and wearing a wreath of leaves with her hair gathered in a chignon secured by a ribbon. The effigy is set within a distinctive decorative border of Greek key (meander) pattern, itself enclosed by a beaded inner circle and a finely reeded outer rim. The legend VICTORIA arcs above and QUEEN below, divided by the Greek key border, all rendered in raised Latin capitals.
