Reverse description Within a raised pearled rectangular border, the four-digit year of issue is struck in bold relief at the centre of the field, flanked by pellets on either side. The numerals are rendered in a primitive, utilitarian style consistent with the hammered technique employed, and the irregular planchet edges extend beyond the pearled frame on multiple sides.
