| Beschrijving voorzijde | Host coin is a French Guiana (Cayenne) 2 sous piece, bearing two incuse rectangular countermarks applied by Saint Eustatius authorities: countermark C12, consisting of the letters 'SE' (denoting Sint Eustatius), and countermark C13, consisting of the letter 'P', both punched into the obverse field. The underlying host coin design, featuring a crowned central motif surrounded by a circular legend, remains partially visible beneath the countermarks. The coin shows heavy wear and corrosion consistent with extensive circulation in the Caribbean colonial monetary system. |
