| Reverse description | Central field displays a double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head surmounted by a crown, the whole beneath a single imperial crown at the top of the flan. The eagle's breast bears an orb or shield device. The Roman numeral III appears prominently at the base of the design, indicating the denomination of 3 Kreuzer. A partial Latin legend is visible in the surrounding field, referencing the Holy Roman Emperor under whose authority the coin circulated. The overall style is consistent with other hammered silver coinage of the early seventeenth-century Lower Rhine region. |
