| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by a large, elaborately quartered heraldic shield displaying the combined arms of the Spanish Habsburg dominions, surmounted by an imperial crown. The escutcheon incorporates the arms of Castile, Leon, Aragon, Sicily, Austria, Burgundy, Brabant, Flanders, and Tyrol, rendered in the characteristic late-Renaissance style of the Southern Netherlands. The date appears divided on either side of the crown at the top of the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the shield, reading ALBERTVS ET ELISABET DEI GRATIA, interrupted by decorative stops. The coin exhibits the irregular flan and bold relief typical of hammered billon coinage of the early seventeenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field features the crowned lion of Flanders rampant, facing left, set within an elaborately decorated cartouche or shield frame, with additional heraldic ornaments surrounding the central device. The lion is depicted with raised forepaws and an open mouth, rendered in the vigorous style characteristic of Flemish coinage of the period. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design, reading ARCHID AVST DVCES BVRG Z COM FLAN Z, identifying the rulers as Archdukes of Austria, Dukes of Burgundy, and Counts of Flanders. Decorative stops punctuate the legend at regular intervals. The hammered flan shows the characteristic uneven edges and surface texture associated with early seventeenth-century billon coinage from the Bruges Mint. |
