Reverse description The elaborately quartered Danish royal arms displayed on a long-armed cross, encircled by a ring of thirteen oval shields representing the Danish territorial provinces. The entire composition is contained within an outer pearled border. The Danish royal crown appears above, cutting through the pearled circle at the top. Below, on the lower arm of the cross, hangs the badge of the Order of the Elephant, the principal Danish chivalric order, suspended by its chain.
