| 正面描述 | The young king Edward VI is depicted enthroned facing, crowned and robed in state, holding an orb in his left hand and a sceptre in his right, set beneath an elaborate Gothic canopy with flanking pillars. Two attendant figures kneel or stand at either side of the throne in the field. The design follows the traditional Tudor sovereign type established under Henry VII and continued with minor modifications. A beaded inner circle encloses the central device, with the royal Latin legend disposed around the periphery between the inner and outer beaded borders. |
