| 表面の説明 | The young king Edward VI is depicted enthroned facing, crowned and robed in state, holding an orb in his left hand and a sceptre in his right, set beneath an elaborate Gothic canopy with flanking pillars. Two attendant figures kneel or stand at either side of the throne in the field. The design follows the traditional Tudor sovereign type established under Henry VII and continued with minor modifications. A beaded inner circle encloses the central device, with the royal Latin legend disposed around the periphery between the inner and outer beaded borders. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a large crowned square shield bearing the royal arms of England and France quarterly, supported on either side by a crowned lion passant guardant standing upon a decorative floriated base. The shield is surmounted by an imperial crown with a cross pattée at the apex. The composition is rendered in the bold, high-relief style characteristic of Tudor hammered gold coinage. The reverse legend, taken from Luke 4:30, is disposed in Latin around the periphery between beaded borders, serving as an apotropaic inscription invoking divine protection. |
