| Opis rewersu | At center within a beaded circle, the shield of Denmark is depicted, bearing the traditional heraldic arms of the realm. Above the shield, a crescent moon and a star are prominently placed as additional heraldic or mint ornaments. The reverse legend, running outside the beaded circle, reads MONE · NOVA · HAFNENS · and concludes with the last two digits of the date, identifying this as a new coinage struck at Copenhagen. The overall design reflects the hammered small-denomination coinage style common to Scandinavian mints of the early sixteenth century. |

Frederik I came to the Danish throne in 1523 after forcing Christian II into exile, and his early coinage program reflected an urgent need to establish monetary legitimacy across a kingdom that had just changed hands by force. The søsling — a half-skilling denomination — was among the first issues bearing his name. The lettering type 3 classification and date placement within the legend distinguish this variety from contemporaneous strikes, and Sieg's numbering system isolates at least four distinct legend configurations for this single type across a narrow window of production.
