Reverse description A patriarchal cross potent set upon four broad steps occupies the central field, with an unidentified symbol or mint mark to the right of the cross. The design is surrounded by a circular Latin legend in debased characters. The overall execution reflects the provincial, imitative quality typical of Lombard Duchy coinage struck in the name of the Byzantine emperor. The flan is irregular, with slight weakness at the edges.
