Obverse description The complete Coat of Arms of Uganda occupies the central field, featuring a traditional Ugandan shield decorated with a drum and waves, flanked by a Uganda Kob (antelope) as the left supporter and a Grey Crowned Crane as the right supporter, both standing on a grassy mound. Two crossed spears rise behind the shield. A scroll below the supporters bears the national motto in the legend. The issuer name BANK OF UGANDA curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination ONE SHILLING is inscribed along the lower periphery, all in raised Latin lettering.
