The legend BRITISH WEST AFRICA arcs across the upper periphery, while ONE SHILLING is inscribed along the lower periphery, all in bold upright Latin lettering. The composition, designed by George Kruger Gray, is enclosed within a plain inner border and an outer milled rim. |
