The legend reads MO • AR • MAX D : BR • L • BA IN • BATE ET • STEIИ, identifying the monetary authority as Maximilian, Lord of Bronkhorst, Baron of Batenburg and Steyn. The entire composition is struck on a square klippe flan with clipped corners. |
