A ducal crown surmounts the shield, rendered with visible arched bands and jewelled decoration. The Latin legend ANTON·I·F·P·P·DVX·VIII· encircles the design, identifying Antonio Farnese as the eighth Duke. The coin's border is defined by a ring of uniform inner beading. The overall die work reflects the provincial baroque engraving style typical of early eighteenth-century Piacenza coinage.
